GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
The Landscape Construction Pipe Fitter is responsible for underground pipe installation and maintenance. Apply advanced knowledge of landscape construction operations, practices, and equipment while maintaining excellent customer service and communication skills with team members, clients, vendors, and management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- General knowledge of landscape construction, tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods of piping system design, installation, and maintenance
- Effective listening skills to understand the scope and expectations of tasks to be performed
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Strong attention to detail
- Work in an organized, proactive, productive manner with the ability to communicate professionally
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter
- Valid California Driver's License
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in underground pipe fitter and/or mechanical systems, Fully comprehend and accurately interpret blueprints and construction drawings, installation and/or post-secondary training in pipe fitting or construction.

CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

- Follow directions given by Account Supervisor
- Operate power equipment and hand tools to install and maintain piping systems
- Responsible for reviewing blueprints and plans related to job scope
- Piping
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints
- Layout full-scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications
- Clearing pipe systems of obstruction and testing their functionality
- Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections, using valve keys or wrenches.
- Maintain inventory of related parts and supplies

- Ensure that all work performed on a job site meets all safety standards
